Key to Calm: Tools to Help Manage Anxiety
In support of UK Mental Health Awareness Week's theme of anxiety
 
In the context of the whirlwind changes we have seen in recent times, including a pandemic, rising costs and instability in many parts of the world - who does not experience anxiety?
 
In this seminar, we will face our fears, explore solutions, empower ourselves and connect to the courage within. 
 
Presenters’ Bios
 
Dr Kala Mistry: Currently working in mental health as a community psychiatrist and studying Raja Yoga since 1992, Kala facilitates and runs self-development workshops for health professionals and the public. She has contributed to several projects as a core team member of the Janki Foundation since 1998. Hobbies: walking and reflecting.
 
Maggie Parle is 71 years young and has spent 41 years studying Raja Yoga. She has experience of health and social care, as a Social Worker over 27 years working mostly in Hospitals. Maggie is experienced in workshop creation and facilitation and is very practical. Hobbies include: Wildlife, Gardening and Watercolour painting.
 
Catherine Piccione: PhD psychologist from New York. Private practice of psychotherapy for many years, practicing Raja Yoga for 20 years. She has delivered community seminars and workshops and initiated the annual Brahma Kumaris summer program in Central Park: Peace in the Park.
 
Marcia Osborne: Has been studying and teaching Raja Yoga for 35 years. She is based at the Lighthouse Retreat Centre in Worthing since 2006, runs weekly meditation sessions inhouse and over Zoom and supports the Croydon Centre. She has worked in diverse roles and most recently, for 13 years, was working as a teaching assistant in a Pupil Referral Unit for teenagers.
